The weather still dominates conversation. It has been pretty dreary the past few days, but sunnier days are promised. It will soon be May! I hear the greenhouses are opening up, so that is another sign of Spring. Any snow that falls melts fairly quickly, so it is promising.

New Horizons and Emerson Personal Care Home Volunteers are hosting a Spring Tea and Bake Sale on May 25, 2024 at 2:00-4:00 p.m. at New Horizons Centre. All baking donations gratefully accepted. Drop of at New Horizons Friday, May 24, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. or after 10:00 on Saturday. Everyone welcome.

Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation. The cancer care support squad will be putting on a Hope and Resilience class online at the Healthy Living Centre. It will focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Mindfulness also know at CBTM. It will run Thursdays at 1-230pm. If you are interested or want more info please call Danielle @ 204-542-0689

Monday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday - Closed. Darlene Klapka will continue to handle bookings for hall rental of New Horizons Centre, she can be reached at 204-373-2373. Rental has been raised to $120 for nonmembers and $75 for members.
At New Horizons Centre, Shuffleboard - On Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:00, men are welcome to come play cribbage, shuffleboard, play pool, or just gather for coffee. $2 per person.
At New Horizons Centre, on Fridays, at 9:30, women are welcome to have a cup of coffee or tea and conversation.
